The Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, stated that the new model of fiscalization, which will be introduced on November 1, will strengthen the fight against the gray economy, and announced that the Government of Serbia will adopt a decree on subsidizing new fiscal devices today.
He announced that starting tomorrow, October 1, the application for fiscal devices will start on the website of the Tax Administration and emphasized that the system is made in accordance with the highest security standards so that each device, he explained, will have a security element that enables direct communication with the Tax Administration.
Mali said that the economy will benefit greatly from the introduction of the new system because, as he explained, there will be no more control paper sheets or annual services of fiscal devices, and that from now on the fiscal device can be a tablet, laptop, mobile phone…
“We are keeping up with the times and digitalization,” Mali told Pink TV.
He emphasized that the new fiscalization model should make the domestic economy more competitive and efficient, stating that the existing fiscalization model was introduced in 2003, while 4G technology is used today.
Mali reminded that the new system of fiscalization will be introduced from November 1, and that the economy, as he says, requested a transitional period until April 1 next year, by which time both systems will function. As he said, the state will cover all the costs of introducing a new model of fiscalization, so that it will not cost the economy a dinar.
“We will give 100 euros for each point of sale, for each fiscal device. For those who are not in the VAT system, that amount will be increased by 20 percent. We will cover all costs so as not to create an additional burden for our economy,” said Mali.
He expressed the expectation that the introduction of the new system will pay off in a year and that it will contribute to a stronger and more efficient fight against the gray economy and reduction of costs for the economy.
Mali said that every customer also becomes a controller of fiscal accounts because, as he says, every account will have a QR code and it will be possible to check whether the account is correct or not.
He reminded that electronic invoices were introduced and that by the end of the year, all public companies will have the obligation to use them instead of paper invoices, and that by the end of next year, everyone who is in the VAT system, Nova reports.
