The Belgrade pharmaceutical company Galenika will start a new investment cycle in Serbia worth 6.2 million euros, it was announced today.
The plan is to invest in the construction of a technologically state-of-the-art warehouse for raw materials and packaging, as well as the modernization of the boiler room for the production of thermal energy, and the works should be completed by 2023.
The boiler room will reduce energy consumption by 25 percent, and it is intended for the production of thermal energy for the needs of Galenika and the settlement of Nova Galenika.
“After investing 12 million euros in the past three years with a focus on digitizing business processes and expanding product portfolios, we have begun a new cycle in line with the company’s continued commitment to investing in energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact,” said the General Manager of Galenika, Ricardo Vian Markes.
He pointed out that Galenika is a very important investment in Europe and a company with great potential for the Brazilian NC group, of which it is a part.
“The implementation of the global corporate policy of the group, the improvement of energy efficiency and investments in state-of-the-art technology contribute to the constant development and further strengthening of Galenika’s position in Serbia and the region,” Marquez said.
The NC group has 9,000 employees, and in 2020 had a turnover of 1.1 billion dollars, Novi Magazin reports.
