Promising sectors for expanding economic cooperation between Serbia and Albania are agriculture and food industry, plastics, metal, textile and furniture industries, and the International Trade Fair in Tirana is a great opportunity for new business and joint programs of companies, businessmen and representatives of business associations.
Serbian companies have had meetings with major Albanian business systems such as the Balfin Group, Agna, Kastrati, Brunes, Atlas Group, which bring together companies in the banking, real estate, trade, food, chemical and other industries, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce said.
Organized by the Comoros Investment Forum, representatives of small and medium enterprises engaged in the processing of agricultural products had dozens of meetings with retail chains.
“Today, the possibilities for cooperation were presented by ESSI Group, Eco Market, Aroma Markets, and tomorrow DIS, Royal Food and Dauti Komerc will be presented,” said Marko Mandic, head of the Center for the Western Balkans Chamber of Commerce in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
According to him, that opens the door to new business arrangements, but also to more intensive cooperation within the “Open Balkans” initiative and strengthening the economies of the three countries – Serbia, Albania and Northern Macedonia.
He reminded that more than 1,000 companies from Serbia have partners in Albania, and the successful cooperation between the two economies is evidenced by the fact that in 2020, despite the coronavirus pandemic, exports to the Albanian market increased by 10%.
More than 250 companies from 20 countries, mostly from Turkey, Greece, Italy and Serbia, are participating in the fair in Tirana, which is being held under the slogan “United Balkans is stronger Balkan”, Beta reports.
