Export of Fiat 500L from Serbia launched

Fiat Automobili Srbija (FAS) launched yesterday the export of passenger cars Fiat 500L produced in the factory in Kragujevac, in a first contingent containing 206 cars for the Italian market.

FAS director of production Nuncio di Bartolo announced another shipment via Bar Port on 17 August.

Di Bartolo said that from the Kragujevac car factory will by the end of August send two train shipments a week, after which their number will be increased to three, to allow supply of other EU countries.

Mass production of the new Fiat 500L began on 4 July in Kragujevac. According to plan, 550 cars per day should be produced by November.

According to announcements from the FAS, 30,000 vehicles should be produced. In 2013, depending on the situation in the market, the production should be from 120,000 to 180, 000 cars on an annual level.

Fiat 500L was officially launched in early March at the Geneva Motor Show, and is produced only in the factory in Kragujevac.

The cheapest version of this model in Serbia will cost €13,490, value added tax (VAT) included, and the most expensive will be €18,690.
