At a ceremony held on the occasion of the commissioning of the first solar power station in Leskovac, Mihajlovic said that the power station can supply 50 to 60 households.

She said that the capacity of the solar power plant is small, but significant because it marks the beginning of construction of such facilities, since this is the first facility of its kind in the south of Serbia.

A contract on construction of a 650 kilowatts solar power plant in Bojnik was also signed.

Mihajlovic announced a review of all energy permits issued in our country and simplification of conditions for obtaining those permits.

More than 270 permits for the construction of power plants whose total capacity is 235 megawatts were issued in the previous period, she said, noting that from 2008 to 2012, 57 permits were issued for the use of renewable energy, with capacity of approximately 135 megawatts.

According to her, in the past four years less than 7% of the permits to build capacities for the production of electricity from renewable sources were used.
