Serbia and Slovenia to further improve economic relations

Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic and Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Slovenia Radovan Zerjav discussed the further improvement of economic relations between the two countries and ways of increasing the volume of trade and investment.

Ljajic and Zerjav agreed that there are great possibilities for intensifying bilateral economic relations in the areas of food processing, furniture, automotive and defence industries, noting that there is the possibility of forming joint clusters and joint appearance onother markets. The officials agreed that for this purpose, a business forum of businessmen from Serbia and Slovenia should be organised in the near future, to discuss the modalities of cooperation in these industries, as well as other areas for which there is an interest of businessmen between the two countries, the statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister reads.
