Serbia mining potentials are not at the top worldwide, but it has significant resources, both in quantity and quality. Including small mines and quarries, which annually produce tens of thousands of tons, to those who produce millions of tons of minerals a year, in Serbia there are more than two hundred mines and dozens of mineral and energy deposits. While sites (except 4 that are sold as concessions), are rented to private companies for a certain period for exploration, most of the mines, including non-metal mines got new owners.
