Construction of new capacity in Kostolac, which would help restore power generating resources in Serbia and increase the capacity of EPS – and which was envisaged by the Energy Development Strategy for the period from 2008 to 2015. Since the demand for electricity is growing Electric Power Industry of Serbia needs such new production capacities. A loan arrangement with the People’s Republic of China, whose implementation has already begun is a great opportunity to get those capacities.
