The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) organized the participation of the Serbian economy in 22 international fairs abroad in 2023, with 20 of them in collaboration with the Development Agency of Serbia (RAS). Nearly 400 companies took part in these prestigious global export showcases, over 13,000 meetings with business partners were held, and the agreed-upon export deals exceeded 75 million euros.

“Our plan for the next year is to maintain the same level of promotion of the export offer of our companies at leading international trade fairs. When planning our fair schedule, we always take into account markets where Serbian products and companies are in demand, as well as those with the potential for the export of products from Serbia to expand throughout a specific region,” emphasizes Jovanka Ćalina, the head of the Fair Center at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS).

She adds that export-oriented companies are more interested than ever in trade fairs, direct meetings, and contacts with potential customers, seeing it as an opportunity to access new markets. It is challenging to secure new business deals solely through online channels.

“The exhibitors’ feedback is that the organization of the 22 fairs in 2023 was at a high level, covering preparation, logistical and organizational support, to the quality of the construction of national pavilions, as documented for each of these parameters,” notes the representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS).

She reminds that in 2023, companies from Serbia, organized by the PKS and RAS, presented themselves at leading global fairs, including PRODEXPO in Moscow, GULFOOD in Dubai, PROWEIN in Dusseldorf, PLMA in Amsterdam, GITEX in Dubai, ANUGA in Cologne, AGRITECHNICA in Hanover, and others.
