Germans interested in the chain factory

The Serbian government made a decision on Friday, 21 January, on temporary nationalization of Kragujevac private companies, “Metal Systems”, whose workers have been protesting at the end of last year, demanding the annulment of the privatization of the company.

The Union of “Metal systems” and authorities from the Ministry of Economy, signed on 13th December, last year, a Protocol on the exit from the crisis of ” Metal systems” which, among other things, determined temporary nationalization and restructuring of the firm, development of a social program for additional employees and down payment of salaries to employees for December.

– The Government made the first step in saving our company by nationalization. We expect the recent launch of production and performance of the contract we have with our business partners – said yesterday for “Danas”, the President of the Union in “Metal Systems” Milos Tanaskovic.

As “Danas” unofficially finds out, there is another interested related German company, “Iwis”, which is regarded as one of the European’s largest chain factories.
