Serbia- China discussed the project of modernisation of the Belgrade-Budapest railway

State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Stevan Nikcevic met with Chinese Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng, to discussed the projects of modernisation of the Belgrade-Budapest railway whose value could be more than €1billion.

Nikcevic, who participated in a two-day conference on economic cooperation of the People’s Republic of China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe in Ningbo, spoke with Hucheng on the implementation of Chinese projects started in Serbia in the areas of infrastructure and energy.

The State Secretary said that the implementation of this project will significantly improve the quality of rail transport and increase transit revenues of Serbia and Hungary.

A fair of goods of 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe opened today in Ningbo, in which Serbia is also taking part in the organisation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, according to a statement by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
