Serbia’s Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met in Berlin with German businessmen and presented them the measures that the Serbian government is planning to implement in the coming period in order to improve the business environment.At a working breakfast organised by the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, Vucic presented the plans to create a sustainable economy after the recent floods and environment for doing business.
He announced the adoption of several laws that should allow the creation of a favourable environment for foreign investments and added that the Serbian parliament will adopt a new labour law in the next 20 days.
The Prime Minister said he wants to hear from entrepreneurs from Germany about obstacles they encountered during their operations in Serbia in order to solve these problems and in order to attract new investors from that country.
Director of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Rainer Lindner praised the commitment of Prime Minister Vucic to make Serbia attractive for investments, especially after the country was hit by floods.
Lindner pointed out that this meeting is attended by representatives of large companies that are already present or want to come to Serbia.
According to Lindner, the two countries have good trade relations, and the amount of German investments is a good signal that the German economy supports Serbia’s European path.
