Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said on Thursday the parliament would adopt the new law on planning and construction in July or August at the latest, and that construction permits would be issued within 28 days before the end of the year.

The law was prepared with many foreign partners and investors and it will result in simpler and shorter procedures, she told reporters at the government headquarters, where she had met with top officials of the cities of Subotica, Tutin and Zajecar.

Instead of waiting for the permit for as long as three to four years, as it has been so far, only 28 days will now be needed and the clients will be able to complete all the necessary paperwork at one place, she explained reports Tanjug.
