Sistema Rinova Uno is an Italian consortium which has been operating in Serbia for three years, said Managing Director Umberto Ferraro, stressing that the company is strongly committed to environmental protection.

Initially, we planned to build one big hydroelectric power plant on the Ibar River, but due to environmental concerns, we opted for the construction of five small hydro plants instead, he said.

Noting that Tutin has vast hydropower potential, Ferraro underlined that his company supports the development of local communities through sustainable investment.

Sistema Rinova Uno plans to build a total of 18 small hydropower plants in Serbia on the rivers Ibar, Juzna Morava and Zapadna Morava, the release states.
