Serbia’s railway station in downtown Belgrade will be completed by January 27 next year, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said during a tour of the construction works on Friday.

Vucic said that he is satisfied with the works, carried out by the Serbian construction company Energoprojekt, and with the fact that the railway company Zeleznice Srbije has managed to lower the price of construction to EUR 25.7 million from the projected EUR 28 million.

The works on the railway station started as far back as in 1974, but the project was suspended until 1996, Vucic said.
More money must be secured to continue the project works, and the Kuwait Development Fund has made an offer to finance them, but the state will try to secure the funds from its own sources, Vucic said reports Tanjug.
