Serbian Dinar drops 0.2 percent

The dinar dropped by 0.2 percent on Tuesday and the official middle exchange rate now stands at EUR 1 = RSD 120.8872, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has said.

The dinar is 1.0 percent higher against the euro than a month ago and 4.1 percent lower than a year ago.

The Serbian currency was at its highest this year compared to the euro on February 24, when the exchange rate stood at EUR 1 = RSD 120.2205, and the lowest on January 29, EUR 1 = RSD 123.5774.

The NBS has sold EUR 90 million and bought EUR 140 million on the interbank foreign exchange market since the start of the year in order to prevent excessive dinar volatiliy on the daily basis.
