President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) Marko Cadez said on Friday that Bulgaria is a partner of Serbia in economic and political terms, but that there is still room for improvement in cooperation.

“Bulgaria is Serbia’s significant partner, and we have all prerequisites in place to continue the good cooperation,” Cadez said during Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev’s visit to the PKS.

The volume of the trade between the two countries amounted to nearly EUR 600 million, but could be even larger, he said.

According to Cadez, the cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, agriculture, furniture production, ceramics, car industry and tourism is particularly important.

The meeting also brought together Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic, and President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov.
