The rule requiring at least two flight crew members in the cockpit at all times was introduced by Air Serbia two years ago, the company has said in a statement.

The Serbian national airline said that instructions from the Civil Aviation Directorate are applied consistently also with regards to health requirements for flight crews, which it said are in line with guidelines from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Tanjug reported.

“All examinations of flight crew members are conducted at least once a year, while examinations for higher-risk positions, such as pilots, also include psychological examinations, which consist of interviews and personality and ability tests,” the company said in a statement.
