A padlock for 4,000 more businesses in Serbia in the coming months

About 4,000 inactive companies in Serbia will be forcibly wound up in the next five months, the Agency for Business Registers (APR) said.

On the last day of 2019, the Business Registers Agency published in the Company Register notices that there were reasons for the forced liquidation of about four thousand companies, Tanjug reports.

These companies did not submit annual financial statements for two consecutive fiscal years 2018 and 2017.

“Last year, about 22,400 companies were deleted from the Register of Business Entities on the same basis, and in this, new procedure, reasons were raised for the initiation of compulsory liquidation in about 4,000 companies”, APR said.
