The average net monthly salary in Serbia in January totaled RSD 39,197 (EUR 352) -17 percent lower in real terms than in the previous month.
In nominal terms, the drop was 16.5 percent.
Year-on-year, the average net salary nominally increased by seven percent, while in real terms it fell 5.1 percent, the Statistical Office announced on Monday.

The average gross figure for January was RSD 54,447 – 16.4 and 16.9 percent lower in nominal and real terms respectively, compared to December 2012.
Year on year, this figure was nominally 7.1 percent higher, and 5.1 percent lower in real terms.
