Bacevic: construction of “Southern stream” starting by the end of the year

The construction of the gas line “Southern stream” through Serbia will start by the end of the year, when the opening of preparatory works is expected, announced Minister of Mining and Spatial Planning Milan Bacevic.

By the end of December we will publicly announce the commencement of the realization of that project, Bacevic told the Beta agency, while reminding that the “Southern stream” is the most important project before Serbia at this moment, and which will be realized in two or three years. According to estimations, the total value of this has line’s construction should amount to 15.5 billion euros, of which 10 billion is earmarked for the underwater section in the Black Sea, and the remaining 5.5. billion for the land works. The section through Serbia will be 411 km long, and its construction is estimated to 1.9 billion euros.
