Milan Bacevic, Serbia’s minister of natural resources, mining and spatial planning, said after visiting the United States that the reached agreements are the best way to renew the relations and friendship between the two countries.

Bacevic told Tanjug’s correspondent in Washington that the Serbian delegation met with a warm welcome during its several days in Illinois and that Serbia can expect serious cooperation with the U.S. state in the future.

He said the delegation signed cooperation agreements with the state of Illinois and renewable energy company New Generation Power.

These are development projects which show the company is interested in investing in Serbia, he said.

Bacevic said Illinois Governor Pat Quinn will visit Serbia in the near future.

During his time in Washington, he met with several members of Congress, whom he informed that the new Serbian president and government have expressed readiness to support American investments in Serbia.

The Serbian delegation also met with representatives of the Serb diaspora in Chicago.
