Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic, Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic and Bosch representatives laid the foundation stone for a new Bosch factory in Pecinci.
Dacic voiced his pleasure at the fact that Bosch decided to invest in Serbia and that the new investment of €71 billion over the next seven years will create 620 new jobs.
He said that a new investment wave can be expected in Serbia, primarily in the branches based on the modern technologies and knowledge.
Development of infrastructure and modern knowledge, which is what the world economy wants, must be the focus of serious investments by the state, he observed.
Dacic noted that the government will be committed to the creation of an improved business environment which will secure better working conditions to our current and future companies.
The government must help its citizens to live through the crisis as easily as possible, he observed, adding that the crisis cannot be overcome without new investment, GDP growth and social development.
He explained that the major part of the government’s activities is focused on finding ways to secure better functioning of our economic system.
Minister Dinkic observed that the arrival of Bosch in Serbia is a continuation of the government’s strategy aimed at making Serbia the centre of the region’s automobile industry.
He said that the construction of this factory is not the only plan Bosch has for Serbia, recalling that the land which the company purchased in Pecinci is large enough to expand the initial capacity three times.
The Minister announced that the government will stimulate Bosch to make further investments and hire more people, and the plan is to find jobs for several thousand citizens in Bosch’s factory through the development of infrastructure and the improvement of the business ambience.
