Cacak received 330 million dinars for equipping Science and Technology Park in the facilities of the former “Cer”

The City of Cacak has signed two contracts for the purchase and equipping of the former Cer factory facilities for the needs of the Cacak Science and Technology Park.

The Serbian government will invest 330 million dinars in STP Cacak. According to the decision of the Serbian Government, Cacak was granted 270 million dinars for the purchase of the former Cer plant, 5,733 square meters of buildings and 7,000 square meters of land, while 60 million dinars will be spent on equipment.

As announced, with the purchase of this facility, Science and Technology Park Cacak will provide space for all new companies to work.

– Two contracts were signed. The first contract was signed on behalf of the Republic of Serbia by Jovan Vorkapić, Director of the Republic Property Directorate, who acquired the building and land of the former Cer, for the needs of STP Cacak. The second contract was signed with the Assistant Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Saso Lazovic, for the procurement of STP equipment. This means new jobs, new technologies and the opportunity for young people to stay in Cacak, Serbia, to work, to gain new knowledge. This way, we support young people to start a business and, through innovative knowledge, contribute to the development of the local environment and Serbia. Most importantly, we will open the door for all young companies, new businesses, but also experienced ones who are willing to share their experiences and knowledge with those who are starting out. We are becoming a regional STP and we are here to support the surrounding municipalities as well – said Cacak Mayor, Milun Todorovic for Morava Info.

He emphasized that the project documentation for the construction of the building for the needs of the STP is underway at the site of the former Tehnos. Project documentation is funded by European Union funds.
