Canada sees Serbia as its strategic economic partner, it was said at Thursday’s meeting between Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and members of Canadian delegation led by Canadian Ambassador Roman Waschuk and former finance minister Donald Johnston.
A draft agreement on strategic economic cooperation between Canada and Serbia, submitted to Dacic on the occasion, envisages strengthening of the two countries’ mutual economic relations and points to possibilities of cooperation in the field of mining, energy, infrastructure and agriculture, the Serbian government’s media office released in a statement.
The meeting also tabled possibilities for Canadian investments with the aim to accelerate sustainable economic development of Serbia, and Dacic stressed that the strategic economic partnership will greatly improve cooperation between the two countries and boost the Serbian economy.
