Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said Saturday that negotiations were underway with a major company from China interested in Serbia’s only steel mill in Smederevo, adding that the deal could be reached as early as in November.

Vucic said that the world’s second largest steel company expressed interest in the public company Zelezara Smederevo in northeastern Serbia, on the banks of the Danube River.

I hope that the deal will take place in November, I believe that was the plan of China’s Prime Minister Li Keqiang, said Vucic at the opening of an access road to the Pupin Bridge across the Danube in Belgrade, which was built by the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
