The construction of a new Covid hospital began today (August 1) in the military complex “Zemun ekonomija” on Batajnicki drum bb in Belgrade.
The prefabricated hospital in Zemun will be built on an area of 18,000 square meters, will cost between 27 million and 28 million euros, and will be completed by December 1st.
The beginning of the works was attended by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the Ministers, Aleksandar Vulin and Zlatibor Loncar.
– In a few months, a new modern Covid hospital will be built here, but it is a hospital where other things important for health can be done, because we do not want this facility to have no purpose, if there is a vaccine – said Vucic.
Vucic stated that the hospital will have 200 units of intensive care and 804 semi-intensive care, and will be equipped with the most modern equipment, mostly Dregero’s, with respirators, X-rays and scanners.
According to him, four Serbian companies are working together on the construction, and the guarantee for this prefabricated hospital is 30 years, eKapija reports.
