Investments in the development of industry and infrastructure are the only way of overcoming the economic crisis in Serbia, emphasized Serbian PM Ivica Dačić after Finance and Economy Minister Mlađan Dinkić and the president of the Italian company GEOX, Mario Moretti, signed in Vranje, southern Serbia, an agreement on the allocation of direct investments’ funds to enable the employment of 1,250 people in a new factory, in the building of which GEOX will invest EUR 15.8 million.

Dacic said that the signing of this agreement showed that Serbia knows how to overcome the crisis and that foreign partners trust the Serbian government. Everything done in the forthcoming period will be directed towards economy, investors and the issue of the Smederevo Iron Works. Dinkic said that GEOX investments would mean safety for 1,250 families and that he had been assured by the company management that, if necessary, they would double the factory’s capacities and employ another one thousand people or more.
