Discount announced for Fiat 500Ls in Serbian market

A protocol was signed on Friday in Belgrade making it possible for Serbians to buy Fiat 500L cars “at the affordable price of EUR 10,900″.

The protocol was signed by Serbia’s Minister of Economy and Finance Mlađan Dinkić and Fiat Automobiles Serbia (FAS) Director General Antonio Cesare Ferrara.

The announcement and the signing took place at Fiat’s stand at the 51st International Motor Show that opened in Belgrade today and will last through March 31.

Dinkić underlined that a EUR 3,000 discount per vehicle “will be allowed from the (state) budget”, and the citizens will be able to get a loan with the reimbursement period of five years and the annual interest rate of three percent.

The minister said that around 5,000 cars will be available under these conditions in 2013 and 2014, adding that FAS has pledged to employ at least 600 more workers in 2013 and 800 more in 2014.

Ferrara underlined that a new version of Fiat 500L named “nacionale” (national) was manufactured “exclusively for Serbian citizens”.
