The European Commission (EC) has raised its forecast for Serbia’s GDP growth in 2016 to 2 percent, said a statement released in Brussels on Tuesday.

An earlier EC forecast, released in February, was 1.6 percent, with 2017 GDP growth anticipated to be at 2.5 percent.

Prime Minister of Serbia’s technical government Aleksandar Vucic has said recently that he is confident that international organizations and financial institutions will raise their 2016 growth forecasts for Serbia.
