The Fiat Automobili Srbija (Fiat Automobiles Serbia, FAS) company has been officially renamed to FCA Srbija (FCA Serbia) Kragujevac d.o.o.

This was announced after a gathering at the Italian embassy in Belgrade on Thursday that presented a preview of the new Fiat 500X model to the Serbian market.

The company said that the name change was “in line” with last year’s merger of Fiat Group and Chrysler.

More than 150 people attended the embassy event, including Serbian government officials, representatives of business associations, and Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Manzo.

The new model was described as “a new compact crossover from the 500 family.”

FCS Srbija General Director Silvia Vernetti Blina said that the company was “the biggest exporter and investor, doing business responsibly in Serbia and representing a reliable partner.”

The company said in a statement that its new car will be officially presented to the public during the Belgrade motor show due to take place March 20-29.
