Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said the budget for 2020 allocated 250 million euros for the construction of the national stadium and expects a designer to be selected in the coming days, as the tender is near completion.

“Four bids have arrived. The project will raise that part of Belgrade because the master plan covers 600 hectares. There will also be residential, business districts, amusement parks…Sport has long ceased to be just a sport, it is also a business”, Mali said for Kurir.

According to him, “nine new stadiums are being built in cities across Serbia, of which six will be built in the first phase”.
