German company invests over one billion dinars in a factory in Svilajnac

The company for the production of printed electronic boards “A 2000” in Svilajnac has signed a contract for the purchase of one hectare of land.

The company from the German city of Friesenheim will build a 1,000 square meter factory on it. The agreement on the purchase of land in the New Industrial Zone was signed by Svilajnac Mayor Predrag Milanovic and Director and co-owner of “A 2000” Thomas Miller.

The factory is due to start production in July next year and will employ one hundred workers.

Milanovic said that this year “a big step forward was made in the economic development of Svilajnac bringing investors, who will invest over one billion dinars in this municipality next year”.

He pointed out that investors are dominated by companies from Germany, from the electronics world, and reminded that the German company HDT in Svilajnac also bought land for the construction of the factory.

“Construction of Factory A 2000 will start in March, a contract has been signed with the contractor and production should start in July”, Milanovic said. Miller expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with the municipality of Svilajnac and noted that they had considered various sites “but the list of criteria was, he decided where to do business”.

“Svilajnac very quickly stood out as a positive city that completely meets our criteria”, Miller said.

What is important is that in Svilajnac the professional staff needed for production is already being educated, Miller pointed out.
