Grah Automotive to create 400 new jobs in Batocina

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Regional Development Verica Kalanovic today attended the opening of a new production hall of Slovene car parts manufacturer Grah Automotive.

Kalanovic stressed that the Batocina factory will take on 400 new workers, adding that Grah Automotive received a total of €1.6 million from the state of Serbia, or €4,000 for each new created job.

The Slovene company’s investment is €11.2 million, Kalanovic specified, adding that the production hall spans 4,500 square metres.

Kalanovic recalled that Grah Automotive in Batocina already has one factory spanning 2,500 square meters and mostly exports to EU states.

Due to an increase in production volume the company decided to make a new investment in Batocina municipality and expand its capacity, thus enabling a better position for the company among other car parts manufacturers.

Grah Automotive manufactures cable sets for rear-view mirrors, mirrors and interior lighting for automobiles in line with a state-of-the-art technology in this type of industry.

Its clients include Audi, Mercedes and Ford.
