Ljajic said that all Ministry’s sectors will be fully available to local and foreign investors in order to achieve more easier operation and to make the complex bureaucratic procedures easier or eliminated completely.

He also announced changes to certain legislative acts in the field of trade in order to improve the business climate and attract investment in Serbia.

Skalusevic, who is the regional director of sales of Ikea for South Eastern Europe, briefed the Minister about the company’s plans in the future to open five shopping centres in Serbia.

The first of five department stores is expected to be opened in Belgrade no later than by the end of 2013, the statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Home Trade and Telecommunications reads.
