Serbia’s Minister of Agriculture Goran Knezevic said on Tuesday mercantile corn had not been exported to Germany in the past year.
Commenting on claims from Lower Saxony that they had imported corn from Serbia that had aflatoxin in it, Knezevic stressed no mercantile corn was exported to Germany between January 1, 2012 and March 1, 2013.
Serbia and the countries of the region are not the only ones with aflatoxin problems, he told reporters after a meeting with his colleagues from the region, adding that Germany, Hungary and the Netherlands faced the same issues.
