Serbian Finance and Economy Minister Mlađan Dinkić said that this year Serbia could earn 450 million euros from the sale and as much as two billion euros in the following year as Fiat is planning to manufacture between 140,000 and 160,000 “500L”s in 2013. The commercial director of company “Fiat automobili Srbija”, Jerry Clark, said he expects the export of the new model to the US market to start in February or March next year. The most successful sale is expected in Italy and Germany and maybe in France as there was a great interest in the new model in those countries even before the production began, said Clark.
