Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann laid today a cornerstone for the construction of a new production plant of the company IGB Automotive Comp in Indjija, with the message that this is an announcement of more German investments in Serbia.

Vucic said during the ceremony that he is happy that this factory will open 510 more new jobs, but also because this Germany company has decided to expand its production in Serbia, as a stable country with good and hard-working labour force.

He expressed the belief that the plant will be completed on schedule and that more than 2,000 employees will work there by the end of 2017.

German companies will be coming to our country more and more, the Prime Minister said and also thanked the German Ambassador for the establishment of the Serbian-German Chamber of Commerce in Serbia.

Dittmann stressed that by opening a new production plant of this company in Indjija, a signal is being sent to German companies for more investments in Serbia.

He pointed out that already today Serbia is a successful country when it comes to suppliers for the automotive industry, adding that in Germany no one can even think of a car that does not have parts made in Serbia.

Director of IGB Automotive Comp in Indjija Dalibor Beric explained that with this investment this company in Serbia, as far as the production of seat heaters is concerned, becomes the strongest in the region, but also in the world.
