One million dollars of non-refundable aid for small businesses in Serbia this year

In cooperation with the Government of Serbia and with the support of the company “Philip Morris”, NALED today announced a public call for the award of the first million dollars of non-refundable aid to small businesses and everyone who wants to digitize their business and invest in the development of innovative products and services.
This competition was organized as part of the three-year StarTech project, which is worth five million dollars.
On the occasion of announcing the invitation, First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic said that this project contributes to the realization of key priorities of the Government of Serbia, namely digitalization and accelerated economic development based on science, creativity and new technologies.
Director of the Department for Entrepreneurship and Investments in NALED, Dusan Vasiljevic, stated that the deadline for applications is June 4 and that entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium enterprises as well as teams of individuals up to five members have the right to apply for these funds.
According to Ivan Miletic, director of corporate affairs for the region of Southeast Europe in the company “Philip Morris”, which provided the funds, their motive for this step was to help companies and the state to build an ecosystem that will be attractive for innovative companies, Dnevnik reports.
