Retail trade turnover in Serbia was 3.6 percent up in January

The construction of a factory that will perform the thermal processing of animal by-products in order to produce animal protein and animal and technical fat will soon begin in Kakanj.

It is an investment of the company “Agroproteinka” from Zagreb which founded the company “Bioorganika” in Kakanj for realization of investment worth around 20 million BAM. This investment will among other result in a significant number of new jobs.

In the new factory it will be no incineration of the animal waste in Kakanj, therefore there is no new dangerous chimney, and the work of the factory will be based on the strict respect of regulations and norms of the European Union relating to the protection of the environment.

The construction of this factory is the result of a favourable business environment created by the Municipality of Kakanj and of a number of benefits that are provided to investors.

A new factory for the production of mattresses “Moj san” was recently opened in Kakanj, while the construction of the pellet plant is underway.Retail trade turnover in Serbia was 3.6 percent up in January from the same month of 2014, declining by 14.2 percent compared to last year’s average, the national statistical office said on Monday.

Compared to last December, retail trade turnover was down by 23.7 percent in January.

The trade indexes of permanent prices were obtained by deflating the indexes of current prices with the corresponding consumer price indexes, excluding water (from public utility systems), electricity and motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts reports Tanjug.
