Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy, Prof. Dr. Zorana Mihajlovic met today with Mikhail Cvetkov, head of the Representative Office of the company “Silovije masini” in Serbia, and talked with him about the implementation of the project of revitalization of hydro units in the Hydroelectric Power Plant “Djerdap I”, as well as potential cooperation on other energy projects. Representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Serbia also attended the meeting.
“The company “Silovije masini” is implementing important activities for “Elektroprivreda Srbije”, and therefore for our country, and I hope that we can continue cooperation on new projects. I am glad that the project of revitalization of HPP “Djerdap I” is entering the final phase. Revitalization of Djerdap II is also very important to us, as a line ministry we are here to help and monitor all activities. We are also preparing a book of projects, because there will be a lot of investment in energy and we are interested in the inflow of new investments in this sector,” said Mihajlovic.
Mihail Cvetkov thanked for the meeting, saying that this company has been working in Serbia for a long time, and that the cooperation dates back to the time of Yugoslavia.
“There is a lot of our equipment in “Djerdap I and II”, as well as “Kostolac”. We are currently the largest company that produces energy equipment in Russia, from turbines, transformers, to boilers, we produce everything needed for a thermal and hydroelectric power plant. Revitalization of the Djerdap hydropower plant is demanding and deserves a lot of attention, we have reached the last unit and the equipment is arriving in April this year. We have signed an agreement with EPS for the revitalization of “Djerdap II”, documentation is being prepared and your support in this process is important to us,” said Cvetkov.
The Russian company also expressed interest in participating in the project of revitalization of blocks A1 and A2 at TENT, RTV reports.
