Romanian provider of testing services for software and video games Whyttest recently opened its first office in a foreign country – in Serbia’s capital Belgrade, the company said on Monday.

After more than four years of growth on the Romanian market, the Whyttest team decided to expand to Serbia due to that country’s cultural similarities, its suitable infrastructure and workforce availability, the Romanian company said in a statement.

“We were happy to find in Serbia a still budding young market, with an IT industry that is just now beginning to develop,” Marius Potirniche, CEO of Whyttest, said.

“We are certain that our office in Belgrade will shortly become a trailblazer and a benchmark for the IT Serbian industry,” Potirniche added.

The Belgrade office has 25 employees who offer clients specialized testing services for mobile platforms, with plans to add console testing services in the future. The team will soon grow with other specialists, in order to complete the local expertise with complementary competencies.

Whyttest currently has a team of 100 specialists in Bucharest, covering a complete range of testing services for PC, mobile and console platforms. The company said it has increased by 40% the number of its employees since 2016 and is seeking to continue its expansion in the region in the following years, as a response to the constant need for quality testing services.
