The Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, announced today that the budget will be rebalanced this month or in October, when it will be seen whether we are slowly coming out of the crisis.
“We are following what is happening. In September or October, we will go with the budget rebalance, we also have budgets for 2021, to see what our revenues and inflows will be. We will all be much smarter in September and October. Then we will see if we are slowly coming out of the crisis,” Mali told RTS when asked if there would be new support measures.
The Minister mentioned that the Government reacted in time with measures worth 5.8 billion euros to prevent the negative economic consequences of the corona virus, which is 12.5 percent of our GDP.
“We made timely measures, in the right scope, comprehensive. We have established trust between the economy and the Government, because we did everything on time,” Mali said.
He stated that the last minimum wage was paid on Tuesday as part of support measures, and that two more minimum wages for newly established companies will be paid on September 21.
He adds that there will be help for city hoteliers, for which 11.5 million euros have been set aside, Tanjug reports.
