Starting January 11, Air Serbia will offer direct flights between Belgrade and Shanghai (Shanghai Pudong Airport – PVG) twice a week. Flights will depart from Belgrade on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while return flights from Shanghai will be on Wednesdays and Sundays.

These flights will continue into the summer season, beginning March 30, 2025, and tickets are already available for purchase, according to the Serbian airline. “Just nine days ago, on September 30, 2024, we inaugurated a regular route between Belgrade and Guangzhou. This marks our second destination in China, alongside Tianjin, which we have served since December 9, 2022. By launching these direct flights, coupled with the visa-free regime and the recently signed free trade agreement, we aim to enhance economic, business, and cultural connections between Serbia and China, facilitating both business travel and more efficient goods exchange between our traditionally friendly nations,” stated Air Serbia CEO Jirži Marek.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located approximately 30 kilometers east of downtown Shanghai and spans 40 square kilometers along the coast in East Pudong. It is the primary air hub of East Asia, serving over 54 million passengers in 2023.
