Milan Krkobabić, the Minister for Rural Care, inaugurated the 10th Pensioners’ Fair in Novi Sad, with support from the Postal Savings Bank and Dunav Insurance. During his address, Krkobabić expressed a desire to introduce a “thirteenth pension” for retirees with low incomes.

“I see determination in your eyes, but also concern for your bills. While pensions are increasing, we want to ensure that those with lower incomes receive additional support,” he stated, noting that this could be a one-time aid applicable nationwide. He also highlighted the importance of providing social assistance of at least 150 euros to men and women over 65 who will not become pensioners.

Nikoleta Šubert from Dunav Insurance emphasized the long-standing trust that their company enjoys among older citizens. Nikola Simić from the Postal Savings Bank stressed their commitment to assisting retirees during the digitalization process.

“We are proud to be known as the bank for pensioners. With around 900,000 clients, this demonstrates their trust in our services. We aim to meet their needs through our offerings,” Simić remarked.

Nikola Lovrić, director of the Novi Sad Fair, expressed satisfaction at having key individuals at the opening who contributed to the event’s existence.

“This is an opportunity for us, as fair organizers, to show that we haven’t forgotten you. You are integral to our country. There would be nothing without your efforts in building this state and society,” Lovrić concluded.
