Shein, a leading Chinese online shopping platform known for its “fast fashion,” is set to launch in Serbia thanks to a recent bilateral agreement between the Post of Serbia and the Hungarian Post, finalized in mid-August. This platform, which became the world’s largest retailer of footwear, clothing, and fashion accessories by 2022, had global revenues of approximately $24 billion, nearly matching the combined earnings of Zara and H&M.

Founded in China in 2008, Shein now operates out of Singapore. The new agreement will streamline the arrival and delivery of parcels for Serbian customers ordering through Shein, ensuring that goods reach their destinations within 72 hours after customs clearance, as confirmed by the Serbian Post to Euronews.

In recent trends, Serbian consumers have increasingly shifted their online shopping from AliExpress, which launched in 2010, to the Chinese platform Temu. The Post of Serbia reported a 30 percent rise in shipments from Temu in July compared to June, with further growth anticipated in August.
