It seems that spring vacation has kicked off for many, with visitors flocking to the mountains and spas. In a significant development, Belgrade has realized its long-standing aspiration of becoming a year-round tourist hotspot. However, the motivations behind guests’ visits and their origins are evolving. Annually, approximately 1.4 million foreigners choose Belgrade as their destination. The city boasts 120 hotels, with an unknown number of private accommodations, all of which are frequently fully booked.

According to Aleksandra Mikata from the Belgrade Tourist Organization, the city consistently welcomes tourists each month, week, and weekend, ensuring a thriving economy. “We’ve reached a point where tourism is flourishing throughout the year, contributing positively to Belgrade’s economic landscape,” Mikata emphasized.

At one of Belgrade’s most upscale hotels, the reception area is bustling with activity, a rare sight even for five-star establishments. “Currently, we have the Construction Fair, the European Boxing Championship, and various other events filling our hotel rooms. Serbia is doing a commendable job, attracting a significant number of guests. As we remain a fresh destination, visitors are eager to explore something new. Preparations are already underway for the Expo scheduled for 2027, promising to attract even more visitors,” highlighted Aleksandar Vasilijević, director of the Hilton Hotel.
