Digitalization remains one of the priorities of the new government and we remain committed to strengthening cooperation with civil society organizations that advocate digitalization, said Prime Minister Ana Brnabic at the conference “Swiss Digital Days”, which is being held for the fourth time, with the participation of many business partners.
Within the conference “Swiss Digital Days”, organizations from Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia, Ukraine, Poland, Liechtenstein and the City of Vienna signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation in the field of public dialogue on digitalization, and among the signatories is the Digital Serbia Initiative.
Brnabic pointed out that the government’s goal is for Serbia to become one of the leading digital hubs in Europe.
– Our potentials, especially in the field of human resources, are already globally recognized. Thus, according to the assessment of “Startup Genome”, the Belgrade and Novi Sad startup ecosystem is included among the five best.
Much progress has been made in the area of e-government and education. Thanks to the introduction of e-Government and various electronic services, we have saved 15,000 trees from June 2017 until today – said Brnabic.
Nebojsa Djurdjevic, director of “Digital Serbia” believes that since such broad-based initiatives usually come from governments, he is especially pleased that independent organizations, such as the “Digital Serbia” Initiative, are jointly initiating and conducting activities to promote the opportunities that our digitalization brought.
– I think that this cooperation can be a very important element in building the digital future of Europe and its economy – Djurdjevic pointed out, Novosti reports.
