Serbian ambassador: “Azerbaijan and Serbia actively support each other in the international arena”

“The relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia are developing rapidly and dynamically. It is very important for us,” said Serbian ambassador to Azerbaijan Zoran Vajović at his press conference, APA reports.

The ambassador noted that Azerbaijan and Serbia support each other in the international arena: “The two countries’ principal position remains unchanged in respect to the rule of international law such as territorial integrity and sovereignty. The legal base of Azerbaijan-Serbia relations contains 21 international agreements. Two new documents – agreements on economic and technological cooperation and allocation of €308 mln by Azerbaijan to the Serbian government for the construction of “11th corridor” of League Prelin highway were also included in the legal base last year. Currently, the law-enforcement bodies are actively working on the projects on cooperation in the spheres science and technology.

Zoran Vajović said that trade turnover between the states increased and made $35 mln last year.
