This year’s fair, which will last until 9 March, will present seven Serbian exporters of fresh, frozen and dried fruit and fruit products.

The Serbian national stand will present Agranela, Agropartner, Frigo Grand, Fruvela, Pakom International, Sirogojno Company and Venac.

Serbia has been the largest exporter of frozen raspberries in the world for six consecutive years. Japan is one of the countries that imports this product and in this segment Serbia occupies as much as 17% of this country’s market.

This year’s fair is very promising since due to the earthquake in Japan the demand for Japanese products has dropped and the region faces increased need for import of food.

The Tokyo fair, which gathers more than 10,000 customers from over 30 countries, represents an excellent opportunity for the promotion of Serbian products in the growing Asian market, the statement says.
